New painting!
This was started last year and finished sometime after Thanksgiving. I had been doing some graphic design stuff at work that was extremely tedious, and I was itching to do something really challenging and complex. Also something with all the colors.
As you might imagine, though, this was a monster to scan (the original is about 18 x 28") and I didn't tackle that until today. Even then, it required significant work in Photoshop to make it look right.
This is my second or third attempt at painting the Milky Way in traditional materials. I still don't think I've got it quite right, so this is a theme I will probably return to in the future. Still, I'm very pleased with it overall.
