Description
Meanwhile, Mink is attending an emergency conference of the elves in the big factory hall. She wants to see if any of the elves has some news about Santa. Confusion dominates the hall and it's so noisy that you can't even understand your own words. Finally an elf that seems to be the head-elf steps onto a little platform that has been set up for the conference and calls on the other elves to be quiet.
"Can I have your attention, please!" Suddenly the noisy room falls silent. "We need to find a solution for the problem we are currently having. It is now clear that Santa won't be able to bring the presents to town this year because of his injury, and we don't have any substitute for him right now."
Discussion starts to rise again, because everyone knows that this means that there will be no Christmas this year. "What will be with all the children that are already looking forward to Christmas? We can't just disappoint them!" One of the elves shouts. "Christmas has never been canceled before!"
"Elves! Please, be quiet!" the head elf starts to shout again. "Whoever has any idea what we could do now may tell me so." Everyone is quiet, because nobody actually has the slightest idea how they could be able to save Christmas this year. "Let us hope that Santa will come up with a solution for the problem. We will continue our work for now, so the presents will be ready if we find a way to avoid Christmas being canceled. Maybe Santa will get better in time." With these words, the head elf closes the conference and the elves continue their regular work. Mink is slowly starting to get nervous. Will Christmas really need to be canceled this year?

I like that elf at the podium or pulpit or whatever it is. I like the way you draw glasses on her. Is she (he?) modelled after you? Seems familiar somehow.
