Description
One of two tarot card illustrations for my final project in Illustration II. I've actually finished the other already, but I think it needs some tweaking still, so it's not up yet.
Originally I was going to do a rather traditionally designed tarot deck, but then I thought that that was rather boring, and after a bit of thought, I came up with a space/steampunk sort of mix, with gears and stars and...stuff. I don't know. I have no explanation, other than Rule of Cool.
The assignment is only to do two cards, but I like these so much that I may well continue them and do all the major arcana. We'll see.
Also, I seem to be channeling Ursula Vernon on this one a bit. Weird.
